Spring
2008
Greetings
and peace in our
Lord,
Jesus Christ!
Spring
has made its way to Fells Point. You can see and hear it all
around the neighborhood. From the ice cream truck's "Hello!"
to the quacking visitors on the duck tours, the laughter of friends
out on the street meeting up for Sunday Funday to the folks who
stop to talk to the gardening Pastor, you can hear it in the air.
This
church is the place we call home and are seeking to grow into all
that God is calling us to be as a United Church of Christ parish
in this fair city. The people who live here and worship here are
young and old, women and men of every race and national origin,
gay, lesbian, transgender and straight. Children and Seniors know
this as a place to be inspired as well as to inspire, a place to
listen and a place to speak, a place to remember days gone by and
dream of what lie ahead.
Won't
you join us?
We
are seeking to image a world, right in this little 150+ year-old
church where folks are welcomed, nurtured, challenged, fed, respected
and celebrated for who and what they are. A place where you are
welcome.
Come
and visit us, won't you? At services on Sunday or sometime during
the week, take a look at our schedule of events and see if there
isn't something going on here at First
United Church
that might have your name on it…as
a matter of fact, if you don't see anything there, would you share
your ideas with us?
“That
all might have abundant life in oneness with their neighbor.” is
a hymn we often sing…truth be told, we'd rather not just sing it.
Peace
to you and those you love!

Sunday
Morning Worship Service
You
will find this to be a welcoming community that celebrates a Service
of the Word each Sunday with readings, hymns and a sermon.
On
the first Sunday of each month we celebrate a Service of the Table
; Holy Communion. We celebrate an open commuion, and all are
welcome to participate.
Remember,
it isn't "O Come, some of Ye Faithful"
